Traditional paisley print developed from a magnificent antique Victorian piano shawl, but colored in hot, hot, HOT! contemporary colors. Adjustable waist, deep pockets, 7/8 length sleeves won’t drag in your breakfast, and the usual quilted 100% cotton fabric sandwich (shell-fill-lining).
Thread Circus robes may look precious, but they are utilitarian garments. They can stand up to frequent machine washing and drying.
Note that because of pattern limitations, the sleeves on the XL and XXL will not be gathered at the shoulder

What inspired this print?
The original Victorian piano shawl
The source of this print was a vintage victorian-era wool piano shawl my sister (the vintage dealer) gave me. The original is a 8’ x 5’. I scanned only a portion in 9”x11” segments because that’s how big my scanner is, and reconstructed them digitally into the shapes I need to create the robe layout. Then I started adjusting the colors… when I increased the saturation, amazing things happened. For those who prefer the muted colors of the original, I will be offering a softer palette in the fall.
