Schiele Stripe, Size Small, light blue binding
This printed stripe was inspired by a painting of a woman. In 1925 Egon Schiele painted a portrait of his wife Edith wearing a beautiful colorfully striped 2 piece dress (see the photo!). I set out to reproduce a version of that stripe -but in a robe, of course. Like all Thread Circus robes, the fabric has been digitally printed with my artwork, then sent to a quilting contractor to quilt the fabric, the fill, and the lining together to make my usual 100% cotton fabric sandwich (shell-fill-lining). The style has attached waist ties, deep pockets, turnback contrast lapels and sleeves that can be folded up to make a contrast cuff.
Thread Circus robes may look precious, but they are utilitarian garments. They can stand up to frequent machine washing and drying.
Made in USA.
Size Small. Fits 5’3” to 5’8”. See photos for very slight and subtle staining on interior from sample fabric -not visible when worn.
