What inspired this style?
Another thrift store inspiration, this style is derived from a 30s era home sewing pattern for a knock-out dressing gown. The pattern was resized for 21st century women. (Note that the pattern, size 14, has a 32” bust!). Pocket, back belt, and collar shapes were revised. The print is created from a scanned swatch of lace digitally manipulated to created the faceted appearance and medallion shape.
