Floral Explosion Frosty, M-T Only
This is the next version of the Floral Explosion robe. The fabric is flipped to the wrong side before quilting. This gives the print a heathered, rustic appearance -icy pastels instead of clear brights. The style has a little update too: The sleeve is puffed at the shoulder like the De Vil robe. It still wraps, and is secured with inner waist ties and attached self-fabric sash. It still has the quilted 100% cotton fabric sandwich (shell-fill-lining) that is cool, smooth and breathable, but with a little coziness. Still perfect to be the first thing you put on in the morning and/or the last thing you wear at night. Why take it off at all? Have a neighbor over for coffee, walk the dog, answer the door -this is a robe that can be seen.
Binding on this version is pale pink cotton sateen.
Skirt and back pattern placement will be consistent, but left shoulder and tie placement may vary slightly.
Thread Circus robes may look precious, but they are utilitarian garments. They can stand up to frequent machine washing and drying.
Made in USA.
Medium-Tallish Only

What inpired this style?
This style began with a vintage robe c. 1935. The print began with a dress c. 1965 encrusted with faux raffia embroidery. I altered the dress to be a skirt. I call it my party skirt. There isn’t usually an actual party. It just emits happy energy and inspires dancing. I wanted to share how it feels. The skirt went on the scanner, was digitally cut and pasted, cleaned up, color manipulated, and outputted arranged for the robe print layout.
